“Desert Masterpiece”
High Black Rock Desert, Nevada 3/2012
After at least a hour of “patience” I was able to get a close enough for a few shots of this magnificent paint stallion. He was letting me know loud and clear not to get too close to his mares and foals.
Stunning action shot and gorgeous horse 🙂

Thanks! The action part came naturally to him.

Stunning! There can’t be an image that will do more justice to the title!

I think so too. It was rather amazing, finding and then communicating with this magnificent creature surviving quite fine on it’s own in the wild.

Beautiful. I love the way that he is staring right at you.

Yes it was almost chilling. He was snorting as he stood there and looked at me. He had two mares with foals nearby and another one possibly in labor. He was on high alert.

All that “patience” was worth it!

It certainly was. You cannot photograph wild horses with out it.
